That’s where I come in.
I’ll help you explore possibilities, work out the best approach based on your requirements, and build out the final idea without adding more to your plate.

More than
a build
The right approach
There’s usually more than one way to build things out. That’s why I’ll dig into the options and choose the approach that works with your design, your project requirements, and your client’s experience. You won’t get the fastest result but the best one.
Solutions you (both) can manage
The goal is to take the weight off your shoulders after delivery as well. Your customization will use as many native settings as possible, and include a walkthrough showing you how to update, modify, and reuse it, alongside its custom settings (when needed).
Support after delivery
We both know that Squarespace and clients can change things, and unexpected things happen at the worst time possible. That’s why each Buildout includes 15 days of email support for issues related to my implementations, client modifications or platform updates.
Responsive experience
Nothing sucks like squished up text and horizontal scroll bars. That’s why I’ll test the completed project on desktop and mobile using the current version of common browsers, to ensure the customization(s) works as intended across different screen sizes.

Just a few things to help me assess your project and make sure we’re set up for success:
The details about your project: what you’re going for, what you’ve tried so far, and any constraints or specific requirements I should be aware of.
A 2-hour minimum booking.
A Squarespace site, wether live or in trial mode.
Administrator access to the corresponding site(s) after booking and before your Buildout Day.

I work asynchronously so I can properly explore the options, think through the details, and test the solution before delivering it.
The investigation and evaluation time are a big part of how I work, and it’s something I can’t do during a live call. So, I don’t offer those at the moment.
My process involves looking through multiple solutions to find the best one before implementing, and that’s not something that I can do while on a call.
If you’re more comfortable with that format, feel free to reach out anyway! I’ll be happy to refer you to another designer.

Availability varies throughout the year, but you can expect a minimum waiting time of about 1 week from the moment you get in touch.

I’ll handle it.
To make sure you’re covered after I deliver the project, you’ll have a total of 15 days of support via email after your Buildout Day where you can let me know if something went wrong so I can take care of the problem.
Please note: support is limited to issues arising from modifications made by me, your client and Squarespace updates. Any unrelated issues will require a separate quote.

If you’re looking to make a minor change, I’ll take care of it within the 15 days of the support period.
If the change goes beyond a minor change, falls outside of the scope of the original Buildout project, or is requested after the support window, an additional fee will be required.
Please note: minor changes relate to styling aspects such as borders, shadows, colors, fonts, dimensions, etc. Block or section swaps, restructuring of any kind, and changes that require modifying the original code approach or setup, will need a separate quote.

The goal is for you (and your client) to be able to handle the customization after delivery, without having to come back to me for every small adjustment.
Depending on what’s been built, I’ll provide user-friendly settings for things like sizes, colors, spacing and fonts. In your walkthrough video, I’ll also explain how to update the customization and handle content swaps.
When possible, I’ll make the solution reusable across similar blocks/sections across the site. In those cases, you’ll also find how to do that in the video!
Please note: if a future change requires restructuring the customization or adapting it to a substantially different layout, that will need a separate Buildout project booking.
