How it works

In just 4 steps, you’ll be able to apply for and book your Sidekick spot, to get all those customization tasks off your to-do list.

1. Inquiry

Get in touch with me through the contact form to let me know about your ongoing customization needs in general terms. This will allow me to evaluate if the Sidekick is a good fit for your needs.

2. Follow-up

After evaluating your needs, I’ll get back to you with follow-up questions, clarifications or any other important information that can help us get on the same page about the initial 3-month service period.

3. kickoff

Once we’re ready to work together, I’ll send over the agreement and invoice to get started. I’ll also send over your Customizations Wishlist doc and Code Portal link, so you can begin adding requests right away.

4. Collaboration

As soon as our month begins, I’ll begin tackling your Wishlist in the order of priority previously established. Then, each month I’ll provide a Check-in Overview to keep track of what was done, and where you can find the reusable code in the Portal (when applicable).

What can be done?

Pretty much anything!

    • I can help you expand your personal code library with blocks/sections/elements you can reuse over and over in client projects.

    • I can help you figure out the best way to setup/build a customization, based on your client’s requirements and most user-friendly approach.

    • I can adapt or combine plugins for you, making sure that the code plays well with other existing customizations.

    • I can bring your ambitious mockup ideas to life into live or trial Squarespace sites.

    • I can create custom page templates that can be reused by you or the client without modifying the code.

    • I can go into fixing mode on those client sites where all of the sudden issues popped out of nowhere due to yet another Squarespace update or user error, precisely at a time when your schedule is about to explode.

  • Yes!

  • I’m afraid that’s not possible from the get-go.

    However, in certain cases, after reviewing the application I may recommend hopping on a call to discuss any aspects that aren’t clear. However, the inquiry form needs to be filled out first.

  • All Sidekick agreements begin on the 1st of the month.

    However, there is some flexibility (+/- 5 days) depending on project urgency and calendar availability.

  • Ongoing!

    As long as you’re a Sidekick client, you’ll have support on any of the customizations previously implemented.

  • I’ll create helpful settings or variables for each customization I implement, so you’re able to modify things on your end if needed!

    But of course, you can always ask to me to take care of it for you, during the Sidekick period, if you prefer.

  • That’s not included in this service but I can offer you coaching through The Club!

  • If the allocated time hasn't been used fully before the beginning of the following month, up to 3h will be available to rollover, subject to availability.

    Any additional unused hours will be forfeited. The rollover hours will expire after one month.

  • Add-on time – when available – can be requested if one or more tasks need to be handled before the restart of the hours on the following month. This overtime will be charged through a separate invoice at the same hourly rate of the service.
